Reichert's goes up in flames .. (UPDATED 2x)

I was driving down Main Street and I passed what looked like a fleet of fire trucks last night. It turns out that they were heading to fight a fire at Reichert's old warehouse on West Main. Good riddance. That place was an unused eyesore. Maybe they can tear it down and use the land for a public park. That's "public park," not "parking lot." UPDATE: Really? REALLY? Lightning? First of all, there was hardly ANY storming at all on Monday. Light sprinkles. And the state fire marshal made this "ruling" on Tuesday morning. I doubt the state fire marshal could have sobered up quick enough to make as ruling by Tuesday morning after a late Monday fire. UPDATE 2x: Several sources at City Hall say NO ONE has come forward with any plans for use of the site. I'll keep an eye open.
